Are vowel or consonant sequences restricted in Sicilian?

More specifically, what sort of combinations of vowels are permitted in Sicilian and what consonant clusters are permitted at the beginning or end of syllables? I am writing a paper on Sicilian for an intro-level linguistics cl and am having a tough time finding references for these questions.
