Does an alligator make a good pet?

We have a 12 ' alligator in our pool and we are thinking about keeping it for a pet.It just appeared one day. What's the best way to train it and house break it? How can we train it to let us know when it has to go out side? It minds pretty good except when I command it to ' not bite'. I did'nt need stitches but it can get costly. It is an excellent security system.No one ever comes in our yard, that we know of. But how do we train it not to poo on the carpet?. Any advise would be gratful.
