How to code in vb.net using linear search algorithm?

I would like to ask help bout this..Im working on with a Computer Dictionary Applying Linear, Binary and String Search Algorithm as my project.Im using MSSQL for the database and VB.NET for the application..I really need help coz im still a beginner for SQL and VB.NET..thanks in advance!=D
